RoomsCo Portugal Lda. has provided this privacy policy because we value your right to privacy. This policy is effective from 01st October 2014 and governs the collection of personal information through this website on or after this date.
This policy describes the types of information RoomsCo collects from its users and how that information is used. Please read this policy carefully before providing us with any personal information.
Information collected
The website is owned by RoomsCo and hotel booking engine is owned by our partner Roomex Limited. All information entered on the website is passed through RoomsCo on the booking engine is passed through to Roomex Limited and over a 128 secure socket layer (SSL), provided to Roomex Limited by Geo Trust. If you wish to verify this cert when you are making a booking, please click on the secure locket, either on the bottom right of your screen or to the right of the address bar.
RoomsCo will not ask you to register with the site, but you should review the terms and conditions which governs all users of the site, including those who don’t book with RoomsCo.
If you choose to book with us, you will be contacted in relation to your booking or if you have agreed to receive information about special offers from RoomsCo. You will also be able to add content to our site. You will be requested to submit for posting a review of a hotel you stayed in which you have booked through RoomsCo. This communication will be conducted using an email address you have provided to us.
We collect personal information which may include, your name, email address, mailing address, telephone number and travel preferences. We only collect information that you manually enter into our forms, such as the review hotel procedure or otherwise information which is necessary to process your hotel booking through the booking engine. You are under no obligation to respond to our requests to review or post a review in any detail in respect of any hotel you have booked through the site although this is useful to other users of the site and in circumstances where reviews are shared with our partners or affiliates.
The RoomsCo team may update information to accurately reflect any new information (such as change of your email address) in communications received from you.

If you visit our site by “clicking through” from a site operated by one of our partners, and you have registered with that partner, then certain information about you that you have provided to that partner may be transmitted to us. Information we collect when you do not book with us
Unless you make a booking through our hotel booking engine, we don’t collect information from you. Your IP address is logged in order to help diagnose problems with our server, administer our website and track usage statistics. You IP address may vary each time you visit, or it may be the same depending on whether you access our site through an always-on connection or a dial up connection. Regardless, it would be extremely difficult for us to identify you through your IP address and we make no attempt to do so. If you reach our site by clicking on a link or advertisement on another site, then we also log that information. This helps us to maximise our internet exposure and to understand the interests of our users. All of this information is collected and used in aggregate that is it is used to generate overall reports on visitors, not on individuals.
How we use the personal information we collect
As mentioned, when you provide us with your details it will be in respect of making a booking through the hotel booking engine. We may email you only on opt-in Special Offers on the RoomsCo website or contact you on the email address provided to submit a review of a hotel you have stayed in which was booked through us. You may opt-out from such communications at anytime by contacting us.
In addition to these communications, we may send you notifications about special offers or to tell you about opportunities available from our partners. You may opt out of any or all marketing communications from RoomsCo or our partner Roomex Limited in any commercial email we send or at any time.
If you choose to review a hotel on our website, we may in accordance with our terms and conditions, publish and share those reviews with our partners. You will not be publicly identifiable from such reviews, however, it will be indicated that the review originated with RoomsCo.
We endeavour at all times to ensure that the information which we have in relation to you is only used for the above purposes. We also endeavour to ensure that any information we have about you is accurate.
Disclosure of your personal information
RoomsCo does not sell or rent any personal information to any third party. In particular, when we publish and share reviews of hotels which you may have submitted, with our partners and affiliates, no personally identifiable information will be publicly available. This information will not be in a form that will allow any third party to identify you personally.
We may be required to disclose personally identifiable information in response to requests from law enforcement authorities and will do so only in accordance with the Data Protection laws as applicable.
We will not display your email information or address publicly anywhere on our site. You can at all times request that we erase and delete any information we currently hold from our systems.
Steps we take to protect your personal information
RoomsCo has implemented security procedures to help protect the personal information stored in our systems. We also provide a secure payment system to protect your details through the booking process. We limit access to personal information about you to employees who we believe reasonably need to come in contact with that information.
Changes to this policy
We reserve the right to change this policy should we deem it advisable to do so. If we make material changes that will affect personal information we have already collected from you we will make reasonable efforts to notify you of the changes and give you the opportunity to request us to erase and delete information which we hold.
